SARUA will extend its role as a convener towards the establishment and facilitation of Communities of Practice that will support the ongoing success, impact, scalability and sustainability of projects and programmes.

SARUA will bring about a number of communities of practice (CoPs) in knowledge domains relevant to its mission and role. SARUA aligns with the widely accepted definition of CoPs: “Communities of Practice are groups of people who share a concern or a passion about something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly” (E & B Wenger-Trayner, 2015).
